The Lex, Buds, & Pick N’ Roll Podcast owns and operates the lexbuds.com website.

This Privacy Policy covers the information we collect about you when you use our website or otherwise interact with us. By using our website or services you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

What Type of Personally Identifiable Information does Lexbuds.com collect from me?

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you. Here are the types of data collected:

Personal Data

Information We Collect When You Interact with Third-Party Site

Lexbuds.com may include functionality and embedded content that allows certain kinds of interactions between the Site and your account on a third-party website or application. The use of this functionality may involve the third-party site providing information to us. For example, we may provide links on the Site to facilitate sending a communication from the Site or we may use third parties to facilitate emails or postings to social media (like a “Share” or “Forward” button).

Embedded content from other websites

Articles or posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, streaming audio, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. 

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. 

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website or the Gravatar service, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Lexbuds.com and any visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

With Whom is My Information Shared?

Lexbuds.com makes forums, comments, message boards, and/or news groups available to our users. Some of these services may require registration. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

Aggregate information compiled by Lexbuds.com may be shared with advertisers and business partners.

We reserve the right to disclose information we maintain when required to do so by law or pursuant to a legal proceeding, including without limitation, in response to a court order or a subpoena.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

California Privacy Rights
